Precious Zoey's Newborn Session!

I’ve got a super special session for you today that I’ve been dying to post ever since we did the shoot a few weeks ago at my in-home studio in Maryville, TN! The star is, of course, sweet little Zoey. After 16 hours of labor this sweet little doll made her appearance weighing 5.14 pounds and was 19 inches long! I asked mom how did you feel the first time you saw your baby? Her answer,  "Overwhelmed with the amount of love I had immediately." I think it's safe to say that Zoey will always have an abundance of love!

I’m doubly excited, though, because her older brother, Kade, was also at the session. Having them both there made for so much cuteness I could hardly stand it! See for yourself!

I obviously had to ask Mom and Dad about how Kade feels about his new sister Zoey. Their Answer?

“He is actually wonderful with her. He loves to hold her hand, give her kisses on the forehead and he rubs her head gently. He wants to hold her, which we let him think he does haha.” How adorable is that?!

Here are a few more of my favorites from our shoot. Can’t you tell that they already have such a strong sibling bond?

I asked mom a few questions after the session. Here are the questions and her reply!

I asked what kinds of things did you worry about before and during the session?

Her answer, "Potty accidents (which she had), The session was 3 hours total and being fresh out of labor and delivery I was worried about my recovery as well. Would I be able to help? Would I need to help? Cindy had everything under control. She was extremely prepared and made sure to check on me as much as she did Zoey."

I asked what was your favorite part about our session together?

Her reply, "How calm and patient you were. Zoey had a few accidents during her shoot and you were totally understandable. You waited while she fed twice and I never once felt rushed with her."

I also asked what would be your advice to someone getting newborn photographs taken?

Her reply, "Try to relax. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a moment you will never get back. Enjoy the process and soak it all in!
